Verification Policy

Verified means we reviewed your submission. It is not a safety certification.

What we review

• Restaurant details, menu and the allergens and diets the kitchen says it can accommodate.
• Written procedures for ingredient labeling, prep separation and cross-contact.
• How front-of-house and kitchen staff are trained to handle allergy requests.

What verification is not

We do not inspect kitchens, test food or guarantee any dish. Guests should always tell staff about their allergies.

Annual re-verification

Listings must be renewed every year. Restaurants confirm or update their information, and listings that lapse are removed.

Removal

We may pause or remove a listing if information is out of date or we receive credible reports that it is inaccurate.
